Super Hero Weekend returns to Elyria the first weekend in May!

From Free Comic Day at local comic shops like Keith's Comics to special apperances at the theater of local heroes and Super Heroes To Kids in Ohio, the annual community event is ready to swing into town with the big screen release of the new "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". Stop by the Atlas Cinemas Midway Mall 8 in Elyria and meet the heroes.

Uncut, uncensored, and undubbed, the original “Monster of Mass Destruction” returns to the big screen like you’ve never seen him before, fully restored with 40 minutes of unseen footage and completely revised subtitles. See where it all began, with this influential classic that has spawned scores of sequels and imitations, but has never been bettered.

May 9th -15th, Atlas Cinemas will be featuring limited showings of "Godzilla: The Japanese Original" daily at 7pm at the Atlas Great Lakes Stadium 16 in Mentor, as well as, bargain showings Sunday May 11th and Monday May 12th at the Atlas Eastgate 10 in Mayfield Heights. Advanced tickets are on sale now. Get your tickets online by location above, or at the theater box office. Events, including appearances by The Midnight Movie are being planned, and plenty of other fun is in the works for this awesome movie experience. Before you see the new Legendary Pictures release of "Godzilla" by Gareth Edwards, check out the Japanese masterpiece that started it all. Guests of "Godzilla: The Japanese Original" will receive a free poster for a new movie, plus a movie coupon for use on a future visit!

Know Poe Film Festival at Atlas Cinemas

Edgar Allan Poe may have not lived to see his work on the biggest of screens, but he had an enormous influence on director Roger Corman and actor Vincent Price.

Library patrons can come see four of their classics, as well as Know Poe video contest entries, at the Great Lakes Stadium 16. (Some images and sequences may not be appropriate for all ages.)

The film festival is underwritten by the Mentor Community Arts Commission.
